- Centre:Dogs Trust
- Location:Kenilworth
- Sex:Female
- Breed:Belgian Malinois
Despite her sensitive side, Freya is an active girlie and loves to be on the go. We're sure it wont be long until she's enjoying lots of fun adventures and we think she would thrive with an active and fun loving family who can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated. It's important her family are understanding of both the physical and mental needs that she requires. With some patience, guidance and love we're sure she will blossom into a wonderful member of the family.
Freya is a gorgeous 3 year old Belgian Malinois who has arrived with us with little known about her previous history. She can find the big wide world a bit scary but is slowly finding her paws. As we don't know if she's been in a home before we recommend any time being left is built up gradually leaving her with things to keep her occupied. Freya enjoys sniffing and investigating enrichment such as puzzle feeders and snuffle mats which is helping to build her confidence. She will need patient and committed adopters who are able to continue her basic training which will include things like housetraining and loose lead walking as well as feeling confident to get involved with her training programmes here at the centre. Our team here would love to show you what she's been learning and what a special and clever girlie she is. With her more sensitive nature we feel she would be best suited to a quieter home with children of 16+ who can learn to read her body language. Freya is looking for a forever home as the only pet, where she have access to quiet and peaceful walkies. As she can feel overwhelmed when seeing dogs out and about, she's currently learning to wear her muzzle out on her walkies. Freya's favourite thing is toys and she'll play all day if you let her, whilst she hasn't quite mastered the art of dropping her toys with a bit of patience she soon learns swapping means lots of fun playing fetch!
