Sausage is a true Dachshund and very cheeky! His spirit and enthusiasm to life suits any owner known to his breed. Fun and energetic, he loves being nosey and knowing what's going on. A proper wriggle bum, he is quick on his paws.
Sausage has a very busy mind and needs something to keep him entertained as well as focused. He is great with his nose and enjoys scent work and benefits with playtime. The toys do not last too long and he can be protective over his food. Quite vocal when aroused, Sausages owners must be on hand to provide him with plenty of their time and support. When feeling anxious he has been destructive and does want to be with a person a lot of the time. He is getting there with his house training and will need a flexible leave time.
Sausage needs a secure garden for off lead exercise and house training. He is happy living as the only pet and within an adult house hold.
