Odie - male Dalmatian Cross

Odie is a beautiful 6-year-old Dalmatian X who is an absolute superstar with anyone that can give him the time, love, and reassurance he needs. Before coming into our care he lived quite a sheltered life, and so has been in kennels for a while now working on his training and confidence. He’s made amazing progress and is ready to find his forever home. Odie loves being around people he knows and thoroughly enjoys playing with his toys in the company of his favourite humans. He also loves his training, and of course the treats that come with it! Odie needs a family that will be able to be home with him all the time, as he can be worried being left. Fortunately he likes car travel (though he can be vocal when travelling). Odie really tries his best with housetraining, and is almost completely clean, so with a quick refresher In a home environment he should perfect this in no time! He’s our golden boy who is going to be an incredibly rewarding addition to a home.

Odie is a very sweet but does have some worries, so needs to live in an adult-only home as the only pet. He is very friendly and soppy with people as long as new introductions are taken gradually. He will need a dedicated family who will be willing to visit the centre on a regular basis. Odie will need a home that can limit access to the front door. This could be with baby gates, as he’s a clever lad who has learned a cue to go to a specific place when he hears someone arrive. Odie can be particularly worried on walks and so a secure garden is an absolute must for him. He is walked muzzled but has no problem with this, and we’ll show you the ropes if you’re not sure. Odie is on medication to help lower his anxiety levels, and this will need to be continued in the home.
