Lovely Rosie is a 2-year-old crossbreed looking for a very special home. Rosie is an anxious girl who can be easily overwhelmed but once she does know you, she really shows her affectionate side and loves to climb into your lap to be cradled like a baby! As you can see from her photos above, she LOVES a good snuggle on a comfy warm sofa with her blankets! She is a super foody girl and loves to have a tasty chew or work for her food - she is great at food searches, kongs and destruction boxes! She has also started to show a cheeky playful side and loves to charge around with her toys, throwing them in the air and catching them again - balls and soft toys are her absolute favourite! Rosie has not been socialised and struggles in busy places with noise, people and other animals. Therefore Rosie would enjoy walks in quiet areas with adopters who will take the time to show her the world. Initially Rosie could be a house and garden dog whilst she settles, as long as the garden is somewhere she can run around. Rosie can travel in the car and is happy in the boot or sitting on the back seat with her favourite human pals so could tag along on adventures to quieter areas. Rosie will need a home with a medium/large secure garden where she can relax and run around to play. As Rosie is reactive when other dogs are nearby, she must have no neighbouring dogs and the home must be able to walk in a quieter area, although this can within a car journey distance. The house ideally would not have a big window that she can see the street and potentially react at things going past. The home should be non-open plan and have minimal to no leaving hours initially as we believe she will struggle being left. Rosie is friendly with people and can cope with regular known visitors but would not like a very busy house with constant comings and goings. She could live with calm and sensible children aged 16 and over. As Rosie will be an ongoing project, it is important that she is the only pet in the home with adopters looking for a dog to work with. Please note that Rosie will go home on a lead disclaimer and must be kept on lead in public places due to her reactivity. If you are interested in rehoming Rosie then please click on the 'come and meet me' button below. Applications will close once she has found a suitable match. In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
