Poor Ayka was picked up as a stray, so we know nothing about her background. She is an incredibly bright dog and can pick up things in minutes with her handler Rachel. Ayka likes a quiet environment and watches the world go by from the chair in her kennel. She loves to be out walking and can be strong when she wants to get somewhere but she knows that if she stays with her handler there’ll be a tasty treat in it for her! Ayka isn’t overly tactile, but she’ll let you know you’re in her gang by rubbing herself against you lie a cat to invite scratches! She is very calm when she sees other dogs out and about but when they get close to her, she is unsure of their intentions and will start to bark, but she’s progressing well. She doesn’t have any negative intentions to the other dog she’s just very undersocialised and doesn’t quite know what to do. We don't believe she is ready to live with another dog, she has a little way to go yet but she should certainly be kept socialised with suitable friends and in an appropriate way. Ayka has grown in to quite a foody dog and has a great appetite. Her love for little titbits means she works well and she would be a great pal for someone who has an interest in dog training. She does like to chase after balls and will drop them at your feet for you to throw again, and she’s even learning to search them out as she’s such a smart girl. Ayka likes a slow introduction to people but then she bonds well with them.

Ayka can live with children over 16 but needs to be the only pet at home as she is very under socialised with other dogs. We have no background information for her and she may need all of her basic home training.
