Bosco - male Pointer (German Shorthaired) Cross

Bosco is a lively lad who had already spent some time in rescue in Ireland before coming to us. He's very sweet natured and likes to sun himself in the kennel at the right time of day! He's always excited to see people and has lots of energy and this becomes very apparent on his walks! Bosco is going to fit right in with an active family who enjoys adventures but is also willing to put a little training in with him. He can be very reactive towards unfamiliar dogs and doesn't like being approached by anyone off lead, so some focus work around other dogs would go a long way. Teaching him to pay attention to his handler in return for a treat will make a big difference, and he isn't bothered by dogs that aren't interested in him. Bosco may take a little while to get used to his new home environment so please be patient with him. He's very friendly and just needs a little time to get comfy. He just loves toys and will happily entertain himself by flinging them around his kennel with delight!

Bosco can live with children of high school age but will need to be the only pet as he doesn't appreciate dogs being close by. We have no history for him so cannot guarantee that he is house trained. Bosco will most likely need someone at home with him all day initially.
