Otter - Male Akita

Otter here! An extremely intelligent boy with lots of fun & love to offer the right owner. Otter absolutely adores his toys - especially new ones - and loves to spend time playing with them. He can be quite wary of new people & situations, but given time and patience, he soon becomes your most loyal companion. Otter thrives on his daily routine & is quite habitual in nature. He does enjoy being out and about, but prefers walks where he doesn't have to interact with other dogs or people.

Otter's confidence has grown since being at the centre & needs a patient and experienced owner who can continue his gradual introduction to new environments and experiences, ensuring this is done at a slow pace, reading his body language and understanding how he is feeling. Otter is used to positive rewards whilst training, such as toys and treats and thrives on learning. When uncomfortable or anxious he can be destructive and vocal and these are cues to a new owners.
