Bear - Male Akita

Let us introduce you to our baby Bear, an adorable male Akita who is just 11 months of age (DOB 26/02/2023). He is looking for his new home where he isn’t going to be let down again, he has already been abandoned and at this young age it is really sad.

Bear is a happy youngster who is always full of the joys of spring. He loves playing with toys, throwing them in the air and running round with them in his mouth. He has missed out of some of the vital socialisation a youngster needs therefore his new owners must be prepared to put in the training as they would a young pup, he is excitable on the lead, and in true Akita style can’t walk in a straight line, but with regular walks this will improve. As we have only known him in a kennel environment we do not know if he is housetrained, he is however clean in his kennel.

Bear could potentially live with a spayed, well socialised and good natured female canine companion if introductions are successful. He is very playful so a dog who enjoys similar would be a good match. Bear could live with older children, 12 plus, but he is too giddy to be rehomed with small children (and we don’t have any previous history).
