Doris - Female Akita

This stunning girl is Doris, a 3 year old Akita that found herself in need of a safe space with us after being unclaimed in the pound. We don’t know why her owners didn’t come forward for her as she really is a smashing girl.

Doris is very striking and comes across as your typical Akita. She is a girl that knows her own mind, she is very intelligent and picks things up quickly. She can be quite strong on the lead so this is an area that will need further work in her new home with a regular walking routine in her new home.

Doris is a people's dog, she adores human companionship and her favourite thing in the world is cuddles, she can often be found upside down demanding tummy rubs! She is also a playful and full loving girl and is known to enjoy the Akita "zoomies".

As Doris came to us as a stray and we have no past history for her we cannot place her into a home with children under 12 years of age, we will welcome applications from homes with older, large breed aware children. Doris would like to have her new family all to herself so homes where she will be the only dog only please and no cats or free-ranging small furries.
