Roxy - Female Akita

This fabulous girl is Roxy a 5 year old female Akita who is looking for her new home.

Roxy has been bred from time and time again and was then deemed unwanted, she was taken in by a lovely family but unfortunately she didn't get on with their resident female dog and was signed over into our care.

Roxy needs to be an only dog, after the way she has been used we feel she deserves all of the attention on herself. She does walk fine with the other dogs at kennels if they respect her space. She could with children aged 10 plus but no cats please.

Although she pulls at the start of her walk this is due to the excitement of being out of her kennel and she does settle down. She likes squeaky toys but in true Akita style if you throw it expecting her to fetch be prepared to fetch it back yourself. She also loves to do zoomies and enjoys a bum scratch. Roxy does not guard her toys and she is very gentle at taking treats.

Since arriving with us Roxy has really come into herself, she now gets really excited to see us and is affectionate and enjoys a cuddle.

Roxy is a great dog and is now looking for her chance to be part of a loving family, if you feel that could be with you we would love to hear from you.
