Comet - male Beagle

Comet is an inquisitive 2 year-old beagle with a wonderful zest for life. He loves his food, treats and toys - tennis balls are a favourite. Comet enjoys having mental as well as physical exercise to keep him occupied. He does like a calm fuss on his own terms with his favourite people. In order to build that all-important bond, adopters must be willing to visit the centre several times throughout the adoption process. Please be aware, if you are shortlisted for Comet, a meet will be arranged within 48 hours.

Comet is a handsome boy who enjoys long, calm walks with lots of sniffing. He is looking for a quiet adult only home with no visiting children and adopters who will offer him a safe but active environment where he can build his confidence. He is learning how to be comfortable with visitors, his harness and his muzzle. To ensure that Comet thrives in his forever home, our training team offers full support on his training plan.
Comet must be the only dog in the home but he can have friends out and about. As a typical busy beagle, he always has his nose to the ground and likes to ignore other dogs when out on walks. He cannot live with cats or small furries.
Comet knows basic commands such as 'sit' and 'paw' but could do with a housetraining refresh. Once Comet is settled in his new home any time left on his own will need to be built up gradually. He is happy to settle down in the car for adventures further afield.
