Kira - female Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) Cross

Kira would like an active family that will enjoy taking her on plenty of walks but these will need to be close to home as she can be worried by the car. Kira will enjoy to have plenty of mental stimulation such a activity toys etc to keep her busy while at home. She really enjoys playing with toys and loves her food which will help with her training. A calm home where her routine is predictable and her training is consistent will be the perfect set up for her.

You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Kira is a lovely young girl who is looking for a dedicated family that will carry on her training in the home. She can share her home with another existing dog that will enjoy some calm play time with her and having a dog to live with could benefit her. Kira can become over aroused at times and doesn't know what to do with all of her energy which can lead to grabby behaviour, therefore she is looking to live with older teens (16+) who will be comfortable around her. Kira loves her human company so will need to have someone around for her at all times to begin with and any time spent alone will need to be introduced very slowly. Adopters will be invited to meet Kira a few times at the centre before starting the process of home visits.
