  • Centre:Dogs Trust
  • Location:Salisbury
  • Sex:Female
  • Breed:Belgian Malinois
Luna is a bright and sweet girl who enjoys being busy, learning new things and playing with her toys, especially her tennis ball. She will make a wonderful, active addition to a home who will enjoy doing training with her and going on lots of adventures. Support from her handler at Dogs Trust will always be available to help Luna and her adopters. If you are shortlisted for Luna please be aware a meet will be arranged at the centre within 48 hours, in addition Luna requires adopters who are willing to visit the centre several times to get to know her and build a bond, so it is important you live within an hour of the centre.

Luna is a lovely, energetic two-year-old Belgian Malinois cross looking for an active, adult-only home. She needs calm and confident owners who have breed experience and a gentle structured approach. Luna must have an outlet for her physical activities such as agility and search games and lots of mental stimulation and enrichment for her super-smart brain. Luna must be the only pet in the home and have a secure garden where she can enjoy off-lead time with her family. Long walks in quiet areas and over the fields are ideal for Luna. When out and about, she does love a game and a walk with her friendly doggie buddies. Initally, Luna can be timid and wary of handling at first - she needs time to build up her confidence. Once she is relaxed she enjoys being with you and will lean in for a fuss and cuddle. This intelligent girl is always ready to jump in the car and go exploring with her new family. Luna must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle to support her when out in public and when visiting the vet. Luna enjoys her food and is happy to settle on her bed with a long-lasting chew. She struggles being left alone so would need a very gradual introduction to being home alone.
