Potato Chip - Male Shih Tzu Cross Bichon Frise

26-03-2024 Potato Chip is a very handsome little man who is a little flighty at the moment and unsure of our intentions. He will run away from you in kennels but is easy to handle, pick up and does start to settle in your arms after a little time. He has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. With some TLC and positivity he should start to feel safe and come out of his shell to show his gentle personality. Potato Chip has never lived in a home before so he will need help learning new skills such as housetraining and walking on a lead/harness. Poatato Chip will need a calm home with plenty of time to and reassuarnce to help him come out of his shell. He has an undershot jaw which doesn't cause him any difficulty but will need to be monitored by adopters. Potato Chip will need a home that can provide regular grooming due to his coat. He adores the company of other dogs and shows a waggy tail and lots of interest in them, he loves to share his bed and snuggle up amongst his kennel friends. He has very clearly never known life without their company. Potato Chip can happily live with kind resident dogs that are helping to share their home and bed with him as he is getting used to his new life. Potato Chip is such a gentle sweet boy and will flourish in a loving home. 08-04-2024 UPDATE Potato Chip has been here for a couple of days now and has already picked up the routine, particularly sleeping on the bed! He's still a little cautious round me when I'm around but snuggles up on the sofa for a scratch in the evenings. He gets on well with all the other dogs and hopefully his hormones will settle down now he's had his snip! He's learnt the stairs and is getting really good on the harness and lead as he's learned it gets him to wide open spaces with lots of good sniffs! All in all Potato Chip is a great companion and full of character. Old enough to have grown out of puppy phases but young enough to still play with toys and his friends. He's pretty good at going outside but will still mark his territory if he can!
