Patch - male Boxer Cross

Boxer cross Patch is a worried young lad who needs a slow and steady confidence boost. He does find the world to be a scary place at times and will need his new family to take things at a pace he can cope with, and not rush him into situations that he may find stressful. He loves affection from his favourite people when he seeks it, rubbing against their legs and rolling around for fuss. He enjoys his walks and playtime, and likes learning and training too. Patch is quite conflicted when it comes to other dogs, he doesn't seem to know what to do. He has been doing well with his trainer who has been helping him with his socialisation skills, so will need his new family to understand that he needs to be the only dog in the home but with continued training outside following the advice of our training and behaviour team. Patch would love to find a family who can offer him plenty of physical and mental enrichment to help build his confidence in a positive and gradual way.

Patch needs a quiet home with few visitors, where everybody is over the age of 16. He will need to be the only pet in the home and will need somebody around for most of the day as he can become stressed and destructive if he is left for too long, although he is house trained. Patch can be very worried meeting new people so is going to need patient adopters who are willing to make multiple visits to him here at the centre before he is ready to go home. Patch is not considered to be an XL Bully type dog.
