Pepe is a dinky, funny and sensitive little 9 year old Chihuahua who loves nothing more than spending time with his favourite humans. He adores a sunbathe and enjoys soaking up the sun and basking in the rays! Pepe is full of beans and prances around with his little tail wagging away and loves to climb onto your lap, sitting and watching the world go by. When it comes to having fusses, less is more and he enjoys having a little stroke on his head or back, letting you know if he wants more with little paw taps on your hand. Although he is friendly with new people, he can become a bit worried if people try and touch him straight away, so to become his friend, letting him approach in his own time is definitely the way to do it, and with a small tasty treat on offer he will be your best buddy in no time! He has become a regular visitor to the main office where he likes to say hello to all his favourite people before finding the perfect lap to climb up and curl up on. Pepe is such an adorable, special little guy and he and his buddy Twinkle will make a wonderful pair of teeny companion to a very lucky home.

Pepe is on the search for his new home after his owner sadly passed away. Pepe is looking for a calm, loving home that can give him and his best buddy Twinkle all the time, love and care they need. A delicate little guy, he would be best suited to home with older children aged 16 years old and over as he can be a little conflicted with lots of close handling, preferring to have contact on his own terms. Any visitors to the home will need to be introduced at a pace he is comfortable with and adopters will need to advocate for his space when he is feeling worried. He can be quite worried by large, bouncy dogs, he is very dinky after all! He could have walking buddies, but these again would need to be on the smaller side and be polite and friendly. Pepe cannot live with cats or small animals. He has some basic training and was housetrained in his previous home and he walks beautifully on his lead! Pepe does love human company but also settles nicely when left on his own and should be able to manage up to around 4 hours on his own if this is introduced and built up gradually once he is fully settled in to his new home. Due to his breed, Pepe will need regular grooming at home or at a groomers. Pepe will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home to build a strong bond. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.
