Mimi (Was Glitter) - Female Chow Chow

17-02-24 Mimi is an absolutely gorgeous girl with a gentle soul who originally came to us from a breeder a few years ago and was adopted but has sadly found herself back here due to a change in her adopters circumstances. She is a wonderful girl and her adopter absolutely adored her. Mimi is a very sweet girl who would be happy to be homed as the only dog as long as her adopters were around most of the time. We are told that she's fine with cats and horses and lived with a house chicken in her previous home too! We are also told that she is good with children and so would consider homing her with dog savvy children. We believe she is house trained but she may need some reminders of this in her new home. At the moment she is quite reserved and doesn't rely on human affection or attention and is happy to keep herself to herself but hopefully once she settles into her new home she will come back out of her shell and start enjoying a fuss. She is quite worried about walking on a lead as she was mainly allowed to be off lead at her previous home so this is something her adopters will need to work on with her. She isn't keen on car journeys and finds these very worrying at the moment. We are also told that she can't eat chicken or chicken flavoured things as they irritate her skin. She has a Grade 3-4 heart murmur but doesn't require any medication for this. She also has an entropian which we will be mending and is currently being treated for a severe ear infection. Mimi is such a gentle girl who has had her whole world turned around again and is patiently waiting for her new family to find her.
