Oak - Female Cocker Spaniel

14-03-2024 Oak is a very sweet girl who is quite worried to be here currently and has been through a lot but still has a gentle personality. Oak has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When Oak stands she sometimes stands on her knuckles on one paw. She has seen our vets for this and they feel that this is simply that she has no proprioception - so doesnt think about how she is standing. Oak gets around well but will need adopters that are mindful of her limits. She has the beginnings of a cataract in her left eye which will need to be monitored. Oak enjoys sniffing around the play yard with her kennel friends. Oak will need a calm adult only that can help her confidence grow and be able to find the joy in life again. Oak will need a kind, confident resident dog that can take her under their wing as she settles in and are happy to share their home and humans. Oak has never lived in a home before so this will be a big change for her and will take time for her to settle in, she will need udnerstanding adopters that can help her learn new skills such as housetraining and how to walk on a lead/harness when she is ready. Oak can't wait to learn all about home life, be able to enjoy the quiet and creature comforts. Oak has PETS travel document.
