Seren - Female Cocker Spaniel

10-03-2024 Seren has found herself back in kennels and has slotted straight back in to her old routine, she is a wonderful but does need experienced owners who are able to manage her quirks, but in the right and experienced home who have had cockers like her before she will be an amazing companion. She loves her walks and is in the process of muzzle training as she can be reactive so her ideal family will live somewhere rural and always makes sure she is set up to succeed when out walking. We walk her with different dogs here to help her socialise and she is fine as long as they don't invade her immediate personal space. We also take her to the large enclosed area and she loves to play fetch there and her recall is wonderful. However we do not think she will be a dog that can be let off in a public space or somewhere that isn't suitably enclosed. Seren is a really bright girl, she learns things very quickly and knows a few tricks, she is also a foodie which helps with her training! Seren is looking for a calm and quiet home as an only dog where there are not too many people coming and going. She needs a home with no children either living in the home or visiting and no cats. Here at the rescue, she is happy to see everyone and wants to give them all a very enthusiastic greeting, but in a home she may feel as though it is more her space and she needs to keep it safe. Her adopters need to introduce to any visitors to the home in a safe and relaxed manner and ensure she is always helped to make the right decisions in any unsettling situation. We really hope that the perfect home comes forward for Seren soon as she is a ready made companion for someone who is looking for an older best friend who understands that dogs need time and structure to truly settle in to their new home and begin to relax.
