Tivie - Female Cocker Spaniel

29-03-24 Tivie is a the sweetest girl who has melted our hearts She has come to us from a breeder and is very worried, shut down and sad - and shakes when she is away from her friend so will need a home where there is at least one other dog. She will need a calm, quiet and gentle adult only home with adopters who will give her the time she needs to come round and adjust to living in a home. Tivie has been through so much change recently and is very overwhelmed, she may have never had a comfy warm bed of her own before and this has resulted in her guarding her bed from other dogs and people as to her this is her ultimate luxury. Poor Tivie needs lots of time to decompress and we are working through her bed guarding. She will need adopters experienced with this and experienced with scared ex-breeders that can work with her in a home and help her become secure and content in her new life. Her new canine friends will need to be happy to be her friend and allow her to cuddle up with them for comfort and support. She has never lived in a home before but she will watch the other dog(s) and then start to copy them which will help her with house training and lead walking etc. Her adopters need to have plenty of patience and love to help her learn and be sure she is comfortable walking on a harness and lead in the garden before taking her for a walk in the outside world. With adopters who understand she needs a little time to settle we are sure she will become a wonderful and happy and devoted friend. We cannot wait to see a sparkle in this beautiful girls eyes
