Bracken is such a lovely boy who enjoys being out and exploring in quiet areas and always has his nose to the ground and his tail wagging. Once Bracken gets to know you the more comfortable he gets with handling and affection. When eating his meals or any tasty long-lasting chews he will be best to be left on his own and given space while he enjoys his food. Once he has built a lovely bond, he enjoys playing with toys but swaps will need to be done as he is not a fan of sharing. Bracken is a real sweat heart once he has built up a lovely bond with you and is definitely worth the work.

You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Bracken is a sweet boy who lacks confidence with new situations but once he has built a bond with you, his affectionate side really shines through. He will need a dedicated adult only home that will have someone home throughout the day for him to settle in and find his paws. Bracken does have separation anxiety, so it is essential that his family are patient with him while he settles in to his home and pawsitively introduce any time spent alone. Bracken would like to be the only pooch in the home and preferably walked in low dog populated areas as he is worried about other dogs. His dog socialisation with calm walking buddies has been coming along well at the centre and he has happily had some adventures with other pooches. Our Training team will be happy to discuss this in more detail with adopters. Bracken will need his new family to visit him a few times at the centre before we start the process of home visits and slowly transitioning him into his home.
