July - Female Cocker Spaniel

29-03-24 July is a sweet girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She has never seen the big wide world before so is feeling rather overwhelmed and daunted at the moment. She is curious about the world but prefers to observe at the moment rather than participate as she has no idea what is expected of her. July is a bit touch sensitive at the moment when we pick her up and she gazes at us with sadness in her eyes, hoping that we will be nice to her. We will start to show her that words can be kind and hands can be gentle and her adopters will need to continue this in a calm and encouraging way. July will need at least one resident dog in her new home to help her settle and be there for her in a way that she can understand. She will need to learn all about house training, how to walk on a lead and other such home skills. She is a darling and we cant wait to see her settled into an experienced home without children and starting to enjoy the finer things in life that she will have never experienced before such as soft beds, treats and reassurance. In time this girl will relax and begin to shine.
