Desmond - male Collie (Border)

Desmond is a super fun, energetic and intelligent border collie who is a firm favourite with the staff. He has the beginnings of lots of cool tricks and will definitely want an adopter who can keep up with his energy and brains. He will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation to prevent him from becoming bored - a true border collie! Desmond’s favourite thing in the whole world are his toys and puzzles! He is a fantastic dog for interactive play but is equally as fun to watch his delight in independently throwing his toy in the air, catching it and running around with it. Desmond was unfortunately returned to the rehoming centre for some challenging behaviours in his previous home, therefore any potential adopters will need to work with the centre's training team to settle him into a new home. Please complete an application if you think that Desmond could be your perfect match! You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Desmond is a handsome young Border Collie with so much love and loyalty to bring to his future adopter. It is no surprise that Desmond is so lovable because he was born on the day of love, Valentines Day 2023! Desmond is looking for a new home that are interested in training and are willing to dedicate the time he needs to mental and physical exercise. Due to his energetic nature, he will require an adult only home and a quiet, secure garden for him to stretch his legs and play. Desmond could live with another settled dog in his new home after successful meets here at the Rehoming Centre.
