Tommy - male Collie (Border) Cross

Tommy can be a little worried at first and can be boisterous when people are coming into the house so if he were to live with children, they would need to be dog savvy teens who are happy to help with his ongoing training. He loves to play and particularly likes his tennis ball. Tommy is a young boy and will need someone committed to his training and he is a smart dog eager to learn. Due to his breed, he will need plenty of exercise and stimulation to keep him happy and healthy and would benefit from activities such as agility, scent work, sheep ball etc. Tommy is a super affectionate pup who really enjoys a fuss and playing with his person he just needs some help learning how to switch off when its time to settle away from his humans. Multiple visits will be required to the centre and to the home, so potential adopters will need to live within an hour and half drive of the centre.

Tommy is an incredibly handsome, intelligent 10 month old Border Collie. He is a sweet boy who does have a sensitive side; however, once he knows you, he is your best friend! Tommy loves his exercise and will be eager to go on fun adventures and use his clever brain to sniff, explore and figure out enrichment based toys. Tommy could live with another dog dependent on a successful greeting as he really does enjoy other dogs company. Tommy loves to be with his humans and is always curious to see where you are going around the house and likes to follow whoever is doing something interesting. He is looking for patient owners who can help him learn to cope with being alone. This smart affectionate boy would make a great addition to an active home looking for a dog to do fun activities with.
