Molly - Female Collie

04-05-24 Molly originally came to us a few months ago and was adopted but has sadly been returned as she wasn't the right match for the adopters. Molly is a very sweet girl, who is affectionate and loves fusses and cuddles. Although she is so sweet and is a delight to be around, she does also have some issues which will require an experienced adopter who is willing to work with her to overcome these and would need an adult only home with no visiting children. Molly has displayed signs of resource guarding in the home and will guard bones and other high value items from her humans and did once nip when her adopter didn't realise she had a bone with her. She will need an active home where she can recieve lots of physical and mental stimulation. She walks well on a lead but can be reactive to other dogs when on a lead, so this is something her adopters will need to work on too. She was settling in well to home life and was house trained but her adopters did note that she was prone to a bit of chewing so this will also need to be managed. Molly is your typical collie, who is so excited to meet you and LOVES to play fetch with her ball! She is so much fun to spend time with and in a home with someone with collie experience, she is going to truly thrive and become the best girl. She is kenneled with other dogs here and so could be homed with other dogs of a similar size to her or could be homed as an only dog as long as her adopters had plenty of time to spend with her. She is such a clever girl who would so like to be back in a home as soon as possible.
