Clancey - female Collie (Border) Cross

Adoption fee: Please check with the rescue

  • Centre:Dogs Trust
  • Location:Norwich
  • Sex:Female
  • Breed:Collie
Clancey is a wonderfully sweet but sensitive girl. She is searching for patient and gentle adopters who understand the importance of allowing her the time to settle in and establish a bond before any expectations are set. Once she knows you, Clancey enjoys gentle strokes and will seek affection when it suits her mood. She's undoubtedly a sweetheart who will blossom once she finds herself back in a loving home. Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Clancey is a 12-year-old Collie x Springer Spaniel who has found herself in need of a new home through no fault of her own. She longs for a peaceful household where she can unwind and settle in at her own pace. Whilst she prefers to be the only pet in the home, she would welcome canine companions out on leisurely strolls. Any children in the home should be secondary school aged, who understand the importance of giving her space when needed. Clancey's dream come true home would have a garden for her to potter about in, and as she is looking for a more relaxed lifestyle, her activity needs are on the lower end. Clancey gets worried by car travel so potential adopters should be aware that she wouldn't like to go for any unnecessary car journeys. Clancey has a grade 3 heart murmur and she is on medication for age related stiffness in her back legs. If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying for a dog.
