Adoption fee: Please check with the rescue

  • Centre:Dogs Trust
  • Location:Norwich
  • Sex:Male
  • Breed:Collie
Josh is an incredible Collie who would be amazing for an active home. He can be nervous at first when meeting someone new, so a hands off approach would be beneficial when getting to know him. Josh is a very sweet boy who has had a bit of a rough start and needs understanding adopters who can respect his boundaries around things that he finds valuable - such as his food. Once he has built a bond with someone, he will greet you all wiggly with a toy in his mouth and will then enjoy having a cuddle, even falling asleep curled up right next to you. Josh is really good at his training and would like direct access to a secure garden with 6ft fencing so he can show off his collie skills, he is particularly amazing at fetching tennis balls all day! Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Josh is a clever two-year-old Collie who is looking for his new forever home, ideally in a rural location and with a household consisting of adults only. He would like be the only pet in the home as he's not too keen on sharing his toys or space with other dogs, but he could have some dog friends to meet up with out on walks. Josh would like his new owners to be around most of the time initially and slowly build up some short leaving hours. Josh would like his new family to come and meet him a few times here at the centre to get to know him. He will need home visits, so you will need to live within a reasonable travelling distance to the centre. If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying for a dog.
