Alfie - male Collie (Border) Cross

Handsome Alfie walks well on the lead and adores long country walks where he has ample space and can sniff to his hearts content. Eager to work for a tasty treat, Alfie is keen to show off his skills and recently had fun around the agility course. If you are the active but empathetic adopter who can offer Alfie the special home he longs for, please apply. Please be aware that throughout the adoption process, Alfie will require several visits at the centre from his potential adopters to start building that all-important bond.

Alfie is a sensitive 6-year-old Border Collie Cross looking for an adult-only home. He is an inquisitive boy and enjoys exploring new surroundings. Alfie is worried by handling and much prefers women so he must be muzzled and on the lead when out of the house and when being introduced to new or visiting people in the home. Alfie also has a high prey drive so he must be the only pet in the home. Alfie values his space and a secure garden would give him an outdoor area he can relax in offlead. Alfie is comfortable jumping into and travelling in the car, either on the back seat or in a crate in the boot. He loves his training and knows all the basic commands although his housetraining may require a refresh when he goes from kennels to his new home. Alfie is content to be left at home on his own for a couple of hours with the radio playing in the background.
