Beneath his timid exterior lies a reservoir of love waiting to be discovered. He craves the warmth of a loving home, where patience is plentiful and trust is earned through gentle gestures and understanding. The way to Quentin’s heart is certainly through his stomach, he loves any kind of treat, chew or biscuit and it’s a great way to make friends. He also loves being in our off lead areas, sniffing through all the grass and although he’s never too far from his handlers, he’s getting braver every day. If you're willing to embark on this journey of trust-building and companionship, Quentin will reward you with a lifetime of unconditional love and unwavering loyalty.

Quentin is a gentle soul with a heart full of untold stories. Originally a stray, Quentin has come to Dogs Trust Shrewsbury with some baggage. He’s cautious of every situation and tentative towards human touch. Despite his reservations, he has bonded well with his main handler Emma who has built trust using predictable routines, giving space and allowing Quentin to approach her when wants too. These are techniques that his new adopters will shown by our training team before and after Quentin goes home. We know that Quentin needs an adult only home, ideally with experience with a nervous dog, live in a semi-rural location and without other pets whilst he settles in.
