Bagel - female Crossbreed

Bagel is slowly starting to come out of her shell and is showing us her loving personality. She's enjoying playing with her toys and really enjoys her treats, these will make great rewards for training.

You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Bagel is a lovely older girl who has had a bit of a sheltered life. She hasn't been used to the home environment so will need someone to show her the ropes and allow her time to settle in. She does have a sensitive side but with the help of food does make friends. She will be best suited to live with older teens (16 years+) and her family will need to be understanding not to rush her into new situations too quickly. Bagel will need a home without any other pets. Making dog pals will need to be worked on as she has not had much socialisation with them. Training will need to be carried on in the home with this as well as confidence building, house training and leaving hours. Bagel would love to have easy access to an off lead area such as a garden so she can enjoy off lead playtimes as she will need to be kept on lead for public walks. A few visits to the centre prior to her going home would be needed to start building a bond and allow the training team to demonstrate her training.
