Indie - female Caucasian Shepherd Dog

Despite her size, Indie is a cautious girl who appreciates a slow approach from people. Once she's comfortable with you, she is very sweet and loving and loves to play. Indie is very playful with other dogs too, and as much as she enjoys their company, she does not share her home well with them! When she's out walking, if she sees another dog then she will pull her handler to get to them, so her new family will need to make sure they can manage her on the lead. Indie hates to be alone and will chew things if she is, so her adopters need to be able to manage this also. Indie really does lack confidence and will avoid things like going upstairs, and car travel. It's important that she is never pushed towards things she clearly doesn't like, but gently encouraged and worked with to help her overcome any fears. She responds very well towards reward based training and there will be a lot to do with her. Indie is very smart and can open doors, even ones with knobs!

Indie is dog friendly but needs a home where she can be the only pet as she doesn't like to share her things or space. She likes a slow approach and is worried by children so any in the home will need to be teenaged. Indie doesn't like to be left alone so will need someone who can be with her all the time. She is house trained.
