While Brian can be a sensitive pooch at times, he begins to reveal his cheeky and affectionate nature once he knows you well. He’s always keen to show off how smart he is, and asking him for one of his tricks, or teaching him new skills is a great way to build up a bond with him. As well as fun training, Brian loves to figure out an enrichment puzzle, such as kongs or destruction boxes, and playing with his toys. He is especially fond of the squeaky kind and would love a big toy box to choose from at home. Please note, Brian will need his new adopters to be able to travel to the centre several times, to build a relationship with him before going off to his new home.
Brilliant Brian is a fun-loving Terrier with tonnes of playful energy and a super smart brain. Although he is only a youngster at two-years-old, Brian has sadly spent over half of his life in kennels. As such, he is seeking an understanding family who could offer him plenty of their time, patience, and support to help him settle into home-life. This includes being around at home to keep him company, and gently exposing him to new experiences to build up his confidence. His perfect setup would be somewhere quiet and peaceful, where he could relax in the company of an adult-only family. Brian can be a sociable chap with other dogs but prefers calmer types who he can mooch alongside. He is happy to have walking buddies but will need to be the only pet at home as he finds it challenging when it comes to sharing. Likewise, Brian would benefit from an undisturbed area of the house where he can take himself off to rest, or where he could go to for his mealtimes. A secure garden of his own to zoom about in is essential.
