Hooch is a 4 and a half year-old Dogue de Bordeaux. He is a big, friendly softie with an even bigger heart and greets anyone he meets with a happy waggy tail. He can live with a family where the youngest or visiting children are at least 16 years old. Hooch enjoys his walks and loves exploring and having a good sniff. He must be the only pet in the home and while cats and small pets aren't for him, he could potentially walk calmly with the right doggy companion, given successful introductions. He is very comfortable with wearing his muzzle and lead which must remain on when he is out. He can be strong on the lead especially when he spots a rabbit! Hooch prefers natural treats which he takes very gently. When it comes to training, he knows the basics although his housetraining may need a refresh once he leaves for his forever home. With the help of our skilled team, Hooch has been learning how to travel in the car. He gets in willingly and unassisted and sits nicely, looking out the window. Once he is settled in his new home, Hooch can be left alone for a couple of hours provided this is built up gradually over time.
