Darcy - female Spaniel (English Springer) Cross

Despite her small size, Darcy is remarkably clever, often surprising canine carers with her intelligence and problem-solving skills. She thrives in environments with plenty of mental stimulation, and she enjoys learning new tricks. One of Darcy's favourite pastimes is going on car trips, where she eagerly sticks her head out the window, taking in the sights and sounds of the world passing by. In summary, Darcy is a delightful and intelligent companion who brings endless joy to those around her. Meet Darcy, the spirited 12-month-old Spaniel cross Jack Russell Terrier. Darcy is a lively companion, always eager to explore and play with her beloved toys. Her playful nature and friendly demeanour make her an instant favourite among those she meets.
However, Darcy can guard food, toys or similar items around the house. They are on a training programme to support them manage this in a home but this will need the family to continue this training and to manage access to food and toys For this reason they cannot live with children under the age of 16. This trait requires a patient and experienced owner who understands her needs and can provide appropriate guidance and boundaries. Being a rural centre, we’ve seen Darcy’s high prey drive around livestock and although Darcy has mixed well with other dogs at the centre, she has started to become reactive so for now, we know Darcy needs to live as the only pet in the home
