Jethro - male Foxhound Cross

Jethro is a real joy to be around, and all his handlers adore him! He is not for the feint-hearted though, as he is very strong, so his new family must be able to safely hold on to him! He’s a very smart dog too and enjoys plenty of fun training tasks, food games and other enrichment. This is something which must continue in his home to keep him busy. He’s very dog-social but can be a bit OTT so not all dogs will appreciate him! He'll be fine to have walking buddies, but he’s not suited to sharing his home. As you’d expect from his breed, Jethro has quite the voice and he likes to use it, but if you are a fan of all things Hound, and are up for plenty of adventures and training, then you might be a PAWfect match for our wonderful Jethro!

Are you looking for a big, friendly goof-ball and have a real interest in fun dog training? Then meet Jethro! He’s a 3yr old Foxhound who needs adopters who have as much energy as he does! He’s an awesome dog, but he does need quite a specific home. This is simply to make sure he has the best chance of settling properly. He must be the only pet in an adult only home due to his size and strength. He likes to chill in his own space so he will need access to a room where he can relax alone. This also means that once he’s settled in, he’ll be fine on his own for a few hours. A secure garden is vital as he LOVES playing off-lead.
