Honcho - male French Bulldog Cross

Honcho is a small, playful, affectionate 4 year old French bulldog who was returned to us due to showing unwanted behaviours in the home. He loves to go out for his walks having a good sniff and exploring around his surroundings, he walks nicely on lead and wears a harness. Honcho is happiest being around people he loves, will sit with you for a cuddle and especially enjoys playing around with his favourite toys. He can be left for short periods of time but longer hours should be built up slowly. Honcho loves his toys especially antlers, nylabones, squeaky toys, soft toys and things that he can lay down with and chew over time. He is housetrained, crate trained, drops and swaps toys and is good in the vets.

Honcho is looking for experienced owners who have owned dogs with guarding issues around food and toys before as he has bitten other these items. He needs an adult only home with no visiting children who have a good understanding of dog behaviour and able to give him space when needed. He will need a private secure garden as he is housetrained and loves to do the zoomies. Honcho must be the only pet in the home and will need ongoing dog socialisation in his new home as due to kennel stress he gets fixated and intense when meeting other dogs in the centre. Honchos new family will be working closely with our training team and doing multiple meets at our Centre before he can go home. He needs a quiet home as he can get easily overwhelmed in situations and can become vocal and mouth things near by to relieve frustration. Honcho will need an area of the home that can be dedicated space for him where he can be left alone to eat and rest. Honcho is on long term pain medication which can be discussed in more detail on application.
