Bacon - male German Shepherd Dog

Bacon is a bouncy 1 year old German Shepherd. He's a very clever boy and is always looking for something to do, so a family interested in training and learning about enrichment would be ideal for him. He loves his toys and learning new things in exchange for a tasty snack. Bacon will need his world opening up nice and slowly as he can get a little overwhelmed on his walks where there are lots of distractions. He'd love his new owners to have access to walks off the beaten track so he can focus on his training.

Bacon is looking for an experienced adult only home where he will be the only pet in the home as he will need continued work on his dog socialisation. Bacon would benefit from a home that are keen to continue his training using positive training methods. He lacks confidence in certain situations and will need patient, understanding owners. He can be worried when being left by himself so will need his new owners to be home most of the time and willing to help him learn how to be in his own company very gradually. Bacon's ideal home will be a nice quiet environment, with minimal visitors to the home as he can be protective of his home environment. Once he knows you he is such an affectionate lad, he will need his adopters to come to the centre a few times to build a bond with him and see his silly side.
