Dexter - Male German Shepherd Dog

Dexter is a 3 year old family dog that greeted our volunteer in a very friendly manner and brought his ball for her to play. Dexter has been with the family since an 8 week old pup but during lockdown didnt get the socialisation he required and he is now reactive to dogs that come near him and will lunge and become vocal. On the lead he is initially very strong and will require an experienced handler to try and curtail his enthusiasm for pulling. Dexter knows basic commands and enjoys playing with his beloved ball. Hopefully there is a home that can give this lad the time and attention to train or maybe there is a rural home that can walk him within their own land.

Dexter doesnt live with a cat but he doesnt react to the neighbours cat who often sits on the fence.
