Tommy is not your average pup—he's a cheeky chappy with a heart of gold and a knack for mischief. With a sense of humour that's sure to brighten even the gloomiest of days, Tommy is always ready for adventure, especially if it involves new experiences and exploring.
His love for tennis balls is unmatched, making playtime an absolute joy he is already in training to be the new ball boy at Wimbledon but getting the ball back off him could prove tricky. But Tommy's not just all fun and games; he's a diligent learner who already knows tricks like sit and paw. For those who enjoy the art of ongoing training, Tommy is the perfect candidate to embark on new challenges and showcase his intelligence and eagerness to please.
If you're an experienced owner looking for a loyal companion with a zest for life, Tommy is waiting to steal your heart. Come meet him today and discover the joy of sharing your life with this lovable, spirited canine companion.

Meet Tommy, a cheeky 4-year-old German Shepherd cross eagerly awaiting his forever home. Tommy's journey led him to the centre nearly a year ago when unfortunate circumstances forced his previous owners to return him due to health issues. Now, he's seeking experienced owners who understand his breed and are ready to embrace his spirited personality and work with his specialist needs. Since arriving back at the centre our behaviour team have been doing lots of ongoing training and he is already showing great potential. Any new home would need to continue this but with his love of hotdogs and his quirky sense of humour with a little bit of patience he could be your new partner in crime. We had Starsky and Hutch, Batman and Robin and the new double act, Tommy & you.
Due to his strong personality and stealing and guarding behaviour, Tommy requires an adult-only home without other dogs. However, with time and patience, he could potentially develop friendships with walking buddies. It's also essential to note that Tommy has mild hip dysplasia, which is effectively managed with medication. Our dedicated medical team is available to discuss his care plan and provide guidance on managing his condition. It is important for any potential adopters to live local to the centre as you will need to meet Tommy on multiple occasions to build a relationship.
