Sam - male Greyhound

Sam is such a lovely boy, but needs someone who can really take their time with him. Once he gets that bond he can be quite a cheeky boy, and absolutely loves his treats (especially meaty ones) which is great for his ongoing training. Sam is a typical Greyhound at heart and loves his comfy beds, and would love to call your sofa his own! He can get quite worried and overwhelmed while out on walks so would prefer access to quieter walking areas where he can take things at his pace, and relax and enjoy lots of sniffs. For this reason Sam will also need his own secure garden where he can relax and play with his favourite toys without the pressures of the big wide world. He does have history of being in a home for a short amount of time but will need help with all of his basics including housetraining. He’ll also need time left alone to be built up gradually with a comfy bed and lots to keep him occupied. He’s a huge fan of rope and squeaky toys, but just needs to build that bond before he feels comfortable enough to play with people

Sam is such a gentle soul who really struggles with his confidence. He is looking for a quiet, relaxed adult only home with minimal visitors, and no visiting children, where he’s given lots of time and patience to settle in an find his feet. Sam takes a little while to trust new people so would like his new family to come to the centre and meet him a few times so that he can get to know them before he goes to his new home. Sam is looking for a home where he is the only dog, though would like some calm, similarly sized walking friends once he’s gained the confidence to go out and about.
