Hello there, my name is Lady, and I am a 3 year old Greyhound looking for my forever home.

I am currently living in a foster home to help me adjust to life at home, as being an ex-racer has meant that I have lived in kennels my entire life, and it is about time I have a sofa that I am able to relax on. Speaking of sofas, I absolutely love the sofa, it is my favourite place for a cuddle and a nap. I am slowly finding my feet in the home and slowly learning where everything is. I am also learning where to go to the toilet! I will need my owners to be patient with me and to help me learn- although I am doing so well with my training already! I also have really enjoyed getting in to a routine, and think I would thrive off of this in my new home.

When it comes to going on walks, I can be on the more nervous side as the big wide world is super overwhelming in comparison to my old kennel. I love running around in an enclosed field with my long line, I get serious zoomies, it is my favourite thing. I like to go on walks in the early mornings, and late at night, when it is quieter. When it comes to other dogs I am still quite unsure, so I would prefer to be an only dog ,however, if you are a Greyhound family, I could potentially live with another calm Greyhound pending intros at the centre as I am used to seeing Greyhounds. I have a very high prey drive so I would not be able to live with any cats or small furries. I could live with older teenagers (16+) as I need a calmer household that will allow me to settle.

I am still learning to spend time on my own in the house, and this has been built up to 3 hours so far, so a family that works from home, or is home a lot of the time would be perfect for me.

If you feel that you can offer me my new forever home (and sofa) then please register your interest below, or contact Bedfordshire reception!
