Bill is a delightful, laid-back and playful 12 year old Jack Russell Cross who is looking for a home after his owner sadly could no longer care for him. Bill is joined at the hip with his best buddy Scampi and they love to do everything together! Bill and Scampi both walk nicely on their leads and have lovely manners, offering beautiful sits for a tasty treat. Despite their age, these boys are still very active and spritely! They enjoy playing with little toys and having a mini zoom around the garden and really love their walkies! Bill is especially fond of playing fetch with a teeny tennis ball! Once playtime is over, they love to find cosy spots for nice snoozes and will happily accept lots of fusses! Bill and Scampi are a lovely little gentle pair of boys that will bring lots of joy, love and laughter to a lucky home. You can see more photos and videos of Bill and all the other dogs in our care on our Instagram account @DogsTrust_Canterbury

Bill is looking for a home with his best buddy Scampi where they can enjoy nice sniffy walks, fun games with little toys and lots of love and fusses. Bill is a pretty laid back guy when it comes to other dogs, but Scampi is a little more selective about other dogs, so although they can live together, they would like to be the only pets in their home. As they are older gents, a calmer, more predictable home would suit them best, so residing children will need to be aged 14 years and over, interact and play nicely with them and be aware when they need space to rest. They both have history of housetraining so will need access to their own private secure garden and would do best in a garden without noisy neighbouring dogs as they have previously not enjoyed having vocal dogs next door. Bill does have a heart condition and some arthritis that he takes medication for, so this will need to be continued by his adopters once he goes home. Bill and Scampi can manage a couple of hours of leaving time but this should be introduced once they have had an initial settling period with lots of company. Bill will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.
