Hughy - male Retriever (Labrador) Cross

10 year old Hughy is a very clever boy and can confirm, old dogs can learn new tricks! A day in the life of Hughy will consist of, heading out for a morning walk to sniff the grass and see who has been about. Before his breakfast, Hughy will enjoy splashing around in his paddling-pool with his handler. After breakfast Hughy enjoys laying outside in the sun and relaxing to the sound of the birds. In the afternoon, Hughy might pop to say hello to some of his friends and check to see how they are doing, before finishing the day with a bit of ball play. Despite being an older dog, Hughy is very much enthusiastic about life and would love to come and spend his days with you!

Handsome Hughy is a cheeky monkey and a real water baby! He has spent a long time in kennels so is looking for a patient family who have time to help him slowly transition into his new home at a pace he is comfortable with. Hughy would need a couple of meets here at the centre to build a relationship with his new family. He loves to travel in the car and would much prefer being taken to the countryside than walking the streets. He is still very much young at heart and is excited to find a family of his own he can take on new adventures.
