Rab loves food, though is on a diet at the moment as he is overweight and is enjoying some chews like stag bars to keep him occupied without piling on the pounds! He also enjoys playing with soft toys, his favourite being a little carrot toy. Due to their weight and some medical issues Rab and Casper are not going out for big walks, instead a short dander or a potter around the garden is ideal for them, they both enjoy trips out in the car. Rab and Casper will sometimes grumble at each other over different things such as both wanting to lie in the same bed.

You won't be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you are looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you've submitted your application, we can't change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Rab and his pal Casper are looking for their retirement home together, both are 13 year old Lhasa Apsos and have been together their whole lives. Rab and Casper are an endearing independent duo who are happy doing everything at their own pace, when their foster carer arrives home they are excited to see her and are just happy with some chin scratches rather than being made a big fuss of. They could live in a home with secondary school aged children and older who understand that they prefer people to be hands off with them. They could share their home with a calm older dog that is just happy to potter around. Housetraining is still a work in progress but they have successfully been left for 4-5 hours without any accidents. Rab is on pain relief which can be discussed with the team at Ballymena.
