Anton - male Lurcher
Adoption fee: Please check with the rescue
- Centre:Dogs Trust
- Location:Canterbury
- Sex:Male
- Breed:Lurcher
Blessed with brains, beauty and bounce, 5 year old Lurcher Anton, is a charming goofball who loves quality time and exploring the world around him. Among his joys are playing with squeaky toys and engaging in playful bouts of tug-of-war with teddies and rope toys. He LOVES a tennis ball and can be found with more than one in his mouth at once. Anton is a friendly and social boy who loves exploring on walks and stretching his legs with a big run around a secure field. He is the ultimate adventure buddy, motivating you to stay active and reach those daily step goals. After his adventures there is nothing Anton loves more than curling up for sleepy cuddles on the sofa with his favourite humans. Anton will make a brilliant, fun and affectionate buddy for a very lucky home!
Anton is looking for a loving and active home with adopters who have the time to give him a life full of adventures and give him all the love and attention he deserves! He can live with children aged 14 and over who are confident with larger dogs, who understand that he can be a bit clumsy when he is playing and will give him time alone to rest and relax when needed. Anton would like to be the only pet in the home, but he can have fun walking buddies when out and about that will match his bouncy, playful character! He has a little training under his belt, he does a lovely “Sit”, and is keen to learn more for a tasty treat, he may need a refresher on his housetraining so will need access to his own private, secure garden with high fencing. Anton will need to be on a lead in public and he would benefit from an off lead run now and then in a secure field so that he can stretch his legs! Anton can settle nicely alone and may be able to be left for up to 2 hours once settled in but this should be introduced slowly once he has had time to get used to his new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so he can relax and snuggle down for a snooze! Anton will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
