Poppy - Female Lurcher

Hello everyone! My name is Poppy and I am a beautiful 2 year old Lurcher that is looking for a new family to call my own!

I am a sweet girl that really enjoys having lots of fuss and being around people. I can be very excitable, especially when I am going out on my walks and if I see other dogs, although I have been walking with lots at the centre and get on great after the initial excitement! I could possibly suit a home with a male dog depending on how the meets went here at the centre and the set up within the home. I have a high prey drive, being the breed that I am, so I wear my muzzle when I am out and about with no problems at all, but it does mean I am not suitable for a home with cats.

I will need an owner that will continue to help me learn, especially regarding my manners when meeting other people and dogs as it’s all just so exciting. I will also need time to learn how to settle in a home environment as sadly I've been in kennels for such a long time. I do love my food though so this will really help with any ongoing training and also with learning any new skills and tricks my new family want to teach me… I really do love to learn and I’m such a clever girl :)

I could possibly live with older children that are used to larger excitable dogs

I am a typical lurcher and am either on the go at full speed, or crashed out having a lovely snooze. If you have space and a comfy bed for me please let me know, love Poppy x
