Jean - female Lurcher Cross

Jean is a super sweet girl who is guaranteed to make you smile when she shows off her silly antics. When she first arrived at the centre she was very nervous but she has come out of her shell so much that she has been friendly with everyone she has met after a gentle introduction. Jean would like new owners who are confident in continuing her training in certain areas, such as encouraging calmer behaviour when seeing other dogs out and about. Our training and behaviour team will be on hand to guide you on this. Jean is a real gem and loves a cuddle once she has built a bond with someone. Could she be the one for you? Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Jean is a brilliant four-year-old Lurcher whose wish list for a home would be somewhere quiet where she can go for walks away from other dogs. She should be the only pet in the home but could live with secondary school aged children who are sensible around a dog that can be a little worried initially. Jean will need some time to settle into a home and get familiar with a new routine before having any leaving hours introduced. Jean must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle in public, so a garden for her to stretch her legs in is essential. If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying for a dog.
