Rodney is a big puppy at heart, he has had a lot of change in his short life and so is looking for a home that can offer him some consistency and routine. Rodney has been instantly friendly with everyone he has met but due to his young age, he can sometimes get over-excited and mouthy so we feel he would be better suited to a home with older secondary school aged children. Rodney would like his new family to come and meet him a few times at the centre and be happy with potential home visits as well to help him settle into his new home. Rodney was in a home for a short period of time where he proved himself to be a lovely companion, house trained and slept through the night. Could Rodney be your paw-fect match? Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Rodney is an energetic young boy, who at one-years-old is looking for a home to call his own and a family to help him learn some new skills. He originally came into our care with his brother but they are looking for a home separately due to a mismatch in playstyles. Rodney has mixed with other dogs at the centre and has the potential to live with another dog, pending successful meets at the centre. Rodney does have a high-prey drive so would not suit a home with small furries or cats and will need to be kept on lead when outside of the home. Because of this, he would like his new home to have a secure garden where he can do some zoomies and snooze in the sunshine. Rodney is still very young and is not used to being left so will need leaving hours to be gradually introduced once he is settled. He travels well in the car so would enjoy keeping you company for dog friendly days out. If you rent your property, please have written landlord permission before applying to adopt a dog.
