Spruce - male Lurcher

Spruce is a 6 year old Lurcher who came to us through no fault of his own. He has become a firm favourite with canine carers and volunteers at the Centre. He can be left for up to 4 hours, which will need to be built up over time. Spruce is a real foodie , loves his treats but can be a bit snatchy and food in the home would need to be out of his reach. Spruce adores nothing better than playing with a fluffy toy and will keep him entertained for hours. Spruce is not used to the car so this will need to built up slowly with patience and training. Spruce is a sweet chap with lots of love to give, if you love a lurcher then you need not look any further. This lurcher will definitely ‘spruce’ up your life. Patiently waiting to be showered with all the treats and fluffy toys in the world.

Super Spruce is ready to search for his forever home. He can live with children aged 14 years and over that are used to bouncy dogs. He is a true cuddle monster and loves nothing better than snuggling up with you. Spruce must be the only dog in the home but can have calm walking buddies of similar size, happily walks with other sighthounds but likes to keep himself to himself. Knowledge of the lurcher breed would be beneficial as does have a bit of a chase drive. Would benefit from a secure private garden to explore in and zoom around in. He walks nicely on the lead and loves being out and about exploring on our offsite walks.
