Charlie - male Terrier (Patterdale) Cross

Charlie is only a young lad, but is very worried by strangers and will need his new family to be confident in asking people not to approach him when he is out on walks. He has already been through rather a lot at such a young age, and is looking for some stability with a new family. When Charlie knows you, he is friendly and excited to see you but he is going to need his new family to be committed to making multiple visits here at the centre before he can go home. He can be quite worried by over handling, especially formal handling such as vets or grooming, and his carers have adopted a hands off approach, only giving him fuss and attention when he seeks it. Charlie should never be pushed into any fuss and cuddles and should always be allowed the option to move away when he chooses to. He is an intelligent little fella who enjoys reward based training and would suit a home with somebody who would also enjoy doing this with him.

Charlie is looking for an adult only home where he will be the only pet. He is house trained but not used to being left for long periods so will need somebody at home for most of the day and able to build leaving hours gradually. He is looking for a quiet home with few visitors to the house.
